OLD BUSINESS:

1. Popcorn Sales: Report from Felicia

Financial Statement dated 12/16/02 shows $3460.00 deposited. A total of $1070 was still due as of date of this meeting, but $699 was accounted for by leaders leaving $371 still due.

2. Dues Collection: Two scouts not yet paid, Daniel Strum ($40) and Armigo boys ($70).

3. Photos: A total of $91.15 was spent on Pack photos, and $90 was collected. The rest will be framed and given as gifts.

4. PA System: The consensus was that the system worked well and the scouts enjoyed being up on stage. The lighting was poor, however. Greg will investigate getting lights and stands for future meetings to improve visibility.

5. December Pack Meeting:

a. There will be only one song for next meeting to save time.

b. Sled races done at December meeting. All boys enjoyed them, will do them again at next year's December pack meeting.

c. Discussion of when to hold December 2003 pack meeting. Decided to have it on the 12th to keep from being too close to the November meeting and to allow enough time to donate tree and gifts.

6. Camp Out: June 14th scheduled. First choice is Sunol. Coyote Hills already reserved as back up. Lake Chabot is another possibility. Dave Gutierrez to let us know at next meeting if Sunol will be available to us.

7. Pack Recharter: Completed. Four new adult applications approved for total $827.00 registration fee: Greg Smith, Janet Cooper, Michael Shortino, and Zhori Tootski.

8. Treasurer's Report was distributed. The summary is shown below.

Starting Balance as of 11/15/02

$3452.46

Deposits

$ 4438.84

Less Expenses

$(4756.76)

Ending Balance as of 10/1/02

$3134.54

Renewal Dues are now due if not paid. Leaders to remind parents that awards will be held if dues are not paid by 12/1/02.

NEW BUSINESS:

1. New scout for Den 5, gives a total of 10 scouts

2. Pine Wood Derby cars distributed to leaders. To be given out to leaders at their own preference, possibly sooner to allow scouts to work on them during Christmas break.

3. Duty Roster for remainder of year was distributed. Leaders are to check roster each month for their monthly duties. If you are unable to perform any duty, it is you responsibility to trade with another Den leader. Please notify Dave Guilford of any changes.
