PROGRAM AND CAMP REFUND POLICY
effective January 1, 2003In order to plan and prepare for the camping program events, funds are expected far in advance of the actual event. When an individual makes a reservation for an activity or program, they are included in the ordering of materials and staffing. Strict adherence to the Program and Camp Refund Policy will be observed. Funds are allocated and spent in anticipation of the attendance of all who make reservations.
Scouts or adults unable to attend an event due to illness, accidents or last minute schedule changes may request a refund of the fees paid for the event. All refund requests are to follow the following procedures:
1. Refund requests must be made prior to the end of the camp session attended.
2. Refund requests must be made in writing to program services, San Francisco Bay Area Council, 1001 Davis Street, San Leandro, CA 94577-1514.
3. All refunds will be sent to the unit leader for appropriate distribution for unit camps (such as Boy Scout summer camps; day camps; adventure camps, etc.) and to the individual family for individual camps (such as Safari, family camp, wood badge, etc.).
4. A per person non-attending fee will be deducted from the refund request, or charged to the unit as follows:
