HOW TO REGISTER FOR DAY CAMP
This camp is a "Registration by Pack" camp. Work with your Pack's Camping Coordinator to register your son for the Day Camp of his choice.
Choose the day camp your son will attend. Fill out the Individual Boy Scout Signup Form completely. Be sure to sign all authorizations. Mark the camp location your son will be attending at the top of the form.
Turn in the registration and fees to your Pack Representative. Parents, please do NOT return forms and fees to the council office. Your Pack Representative will collect all forms and fees for the pack and turn them in to the Council together. The Pack must register as a unit for Day Camp.
Health history forms for each boy and adult attending Day Camp must be turned in with Pack Registration form. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Register early to insure a place at Day Camp.
PARENT PARTICIPATION
The San Francisco Bay Area Council provides a carefully selected, fully-trained central camp staff to conduct an exciting and meaningful program full of advancement opportunities for every Cub Scout. The central staff includes, but is not limited to: a Camp Director, Program Director, Certified First Aider, and adult and junior program aides.
A minimum of 2 leaders per day is required (two registered adult leaders, or one adult and a parent of a participating Scout, one of whom must be at least 21 years of age) for the first 8 boys, plus one adult for each 1- 8 additional boys. These adults will be asked to assist as assigned by the Camp Director.
Additional adults who work a full week in a key staff position will not count towards your Pack's adult leadership. (i.e., crafts, sports, archery, first aid directors).
Cubmasters, Den Leaders, Committee Members and all parents are invited to participate as leaders. This is the perfect opportunity to spend quality time with your son, whether it is for one or two days or for the whole week. Come and have fun and see the Cub Scout program in action!

FAMILY NIGHT
On Family Night the entire family is invited to an evening program. On family night, camp generally begins just after lunch and ends in the evening after dinner and the program. Each family brings their own dinner, or the Pack can organize a potluck. The evening's highlight will be an inspirational campfire featuring skits, songs, stunts, stories, and the presentation of awards. Mom, Dad, brothers, sisters, grandparents, relatives and friends are all invited to share in this exciting activity with their Cub. Once camp starts, you will receive a flyer with more information on the event.
FIRST AID
A certified First Aider is on staff at each camp location and letters of agreement have been made with local hospitals in the event that such treatment is necessary.
MEDICAL INSURANCE
All campers, leaders and staff are covered by an Accident Insurance Policy (sickness is NOT included) for any accidents that might occur at camp. Bills up to $300.00 will be covered. If a bill exceeds $300.00, the insurance company will contact you family insurance company. Should the amount exceed your family police limits, or be unpayable under your policy, the bills will revert back to the camp insurance policy for coverage.
SIBLING PROGRAM - CHIPMUNKS
Some camps have available a Chipmunk program, where younger siblings can be cared for during the day camp program. Parents are required to provide lunch and snacks for Chipmunks and must eat lunch with their Chipmunk. Call the Camp Director to determine if your camp has a Chipmunk program. Parents with children in the Chipmunk program MUST be working at camp.
ACCREDITATION
The San Francisco Bay Area Council's Cub Scout Day Camps are nationally accredited. The camps undergo a rigorous inspection based on the National Camping Standards of the Boy Scouts of America. The rules for acceptance and participation in the program are the same for everyone without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex or handicap.
REFUNDS
Program Refund Policy applies.
CAMPERSHIPS
At times it is difficult for a boy and his parents to raise the full fee for summer camp. Starting to save early is a big help for most families. Campership applications for those in need are available at the Council Service Centers. No Scout will receive a full camper-ship. Troop/ Pack committees will be encouraged to assist Scouts in finding ways to earn as much as possible towards their camp fees.
Approval notice is sent to parents and Scoutmaster/Cubmaster. Camperships are not transferable. Things to consider when filling out the campership form are family income, number in the family, and efforts of the Scout, his family, and his Troop/ Pack to earn his way.
Funds are limited, the campership committee will make every effort to see as many Scouts as have need are assisted in going to camp.
